This isn't stopping DMVC singing - One of our members arranged a 'ZOOM' session which was great fun to lift the spirits and keep in touch. ๐๐ต๐ฎ
Stay safe and we hope to see you soon.
I was born n 1941. I grew up in Donaghadee. My father Henry L Taggart was a member of the choir. I remember him practising.
Henry was also a stalwart of the Rugby Club. I was at school at Regent House and Queen's. I played a wheen of Rugby in different places. I then spent 16 years as a Royal Engineer officer and an oil industry engineer. Both jobs took me all around the World.
I now live near Malvern and am a member of Malvern Male Voice Choir. We celebrate our Centenary in 2021. So, we're aiming to raise our game. I'm i/c publicity and have been admiring your communications media. This is my biggest challenge!
All the best to The Choir
Your choir visited my church Trinity on the Hill in Augusta, Georgia in the early 90's when I was in middle school. I bought your tape and wore it out... your music was so beautiful. I will never forget that experience and I thank God I had the opportunity to hear you all. I would like to know where I can find some of your songs to play for my children. Again, thank you for coming and singing for our church. I will remember it always.
What a really enjoyable practice tonight. This is the way it is supposed to be.
Many thanks Norwood. Sunday night was memorable also,it was nice to get a tingle back again.
My father, Finlay Johnston, was a member of the choir in the late 1980'sand early 1990's. I remember well his tales of your tours to Georgia and I recall coming to support you at the Cheltenham Music Festival, when you won the cup for best choir . It is lovely to see him in your photo archive and to remember the wonderful time he has as part of the choir.
thank you for your very warm welcome on the 16th September and inviting me to sit in with the choir. It was a very enjoyable evening. Next time we are visiting Bangor I hope You'll let me see you all again.
Regards Dave
I was surfing the web listening to choirs - menโs choirs, kids choirs and such - and I remembered you and the fabulous concert we of the Greeley Chorale shared with you in late May 2013. I hope that many of the same men are still singing with your group - I see one familiar bass 2 face. The dinner and concert made it a fabulous time! Thanks again for your kind hospitality and excellent musicianship. Best wishes always!
Great concert on Friday night ; lovely to hear and see you all again ??. The Donaghadee community choir and the childrens choir were very entertaining too. Good luck to the choir on their festival in Croatia . Xx
What a brilliant effort from everyone on Friday night's concert. Well done everyone??
I thought the service at roselawn on Tuesday was something really special.
Glad I hadn't missed it.
It would be very helpful if Gareth would do the entertainer the same way as psalm 150. I find it a great help. ?
Gareth asked me to have a look at the new website. Looks good, easy to navigate. Good job!
We are pleased to hear from you and welcome any comments.
